March 26th, 2024 Update
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has updated its guidelines for Covid-19 and other respiratory viruses. According to their guidance, the 5-day isolation requirement has been discontinued and schools should follow the recommendation for the general population to stay home when experiencing symptoms of a respiratory illness, such as COVID-19, Flu, and RSV. Please review the updates here.
Some important points to remember:
-If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home.
-If your child develops a fever, they should not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol, Advil, etc.
-If your child has tested positive for Covid-19 or another respiratory virus, and is not symptomatic, it is recommended that they stay home for 72 hours to help reduce the chance of spreading the virus to others.
